7. Retention Periods

Your Data is retained only for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, in compliance with applicable legal obligations.

Order, Purchase, and Billing ManagementFor the entire duration of the contractual relationship. Invoices, accounting records, and required supporting documents are then retained for 10 years in intermediate archival storage, in accordance with legal obligations.
Contract ManagementFor the entire duration of the contractual relationship, followed by archival storage of only the necessary Data for the applicable limitation period, generally 5 years, subject to any specific statutory period.
Loyalty Program ManagementFor the entire duration of membership in the program or the business relationship. Data used for loyalty or marketing purposes may then be retained for 3 years from the end of the business relationship.
Customer Account ManagementUntil the user deletes the account. An inactive account may be deleted 2 years after the user’s last activity, following prior notice to the user.
Complaint and After-Sales Service ManagementFor the period necessary to process the request, warranty, or contractual relationship, followed by intermediate archival storage for the applicable limitation period, generally 5 years.
Sales Prospecting and MarketingFor customers: during the business relationship and for 3 years after it ends. For non-customer prospects: 3 years from collection or the last active contact initiated by the prospect.
Transfer of Data to Business PartnersFor the period strictly necessary for the transfer and management of consent. Recipient partners then apply their own retention periods.
Newsletter ManagementUntil consent is withdrawn or the person unsubscribes, and no longer than 3 years from the person’s last active contact with the Group.
Cookie and Tracker ManagementThe period varies depending on their purpose. The consent or refusal choice may be retained for 6 months. For certain audience measurement trackers, their lifespan may be limited to 13 months, and the information collected may be retained for no longer than 25 months.
Product and Service Improvement StatisticsFor the period strictly necessary to produce the statistics. The Data must then be deleted or anonymized. A 1-year period may be used if justified by the Group’s needs.
Satisfaction Surveys and PollsFor the period necessary to conduct and analyze the survey, or until the right to object is exercised or consent is withdrawn. A maximum period of 1 year may be used if justified.
Pre-Litigation and Litigation ManagementFor the entire duration of the out-of-court or judicial proceedings, and then until the expiration of all appeal periods and applicable limitation periods.
Fraud Prevention and ResponseFor the period necessary to analyze and process the matter and, where fraud is confirmed, for the period necessary to defend the Group’s rights, subject to the applicable limitation period.

8. Data Security

Holding LG Automobiles undertakes to protect the Personal Data that we collect or otherwise Process against loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorized access, or unauthorized disclosure.

Accordingly, we implement all appropriate technical and organizational measures, taking into account the nature of the Data and the risks posed by its Processing. These measures are intended to preserve the security and confidentiality of your Personal Data. They may include practices such as restricting access to Personal Data to authorized personnel based on their duties, as well as pseudonymization or encryption.

In addition, our practices and policies and/or physical and/or logical security measures (secure access, authentication processes, backups, software, etc.) are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary.

  • Right Not to Be Subject to Automated Decision-Making: object to any decision based exclusively on automated Processing.
  • Right to Define Post-Mortem Instructions: specify how your Data is to be handled after your death.

Additional rights may be granted to Data Subjects under local Regulations.

For this purpose, Holding LG Automobiles has implemented a rights management procedure for Data Subjects that complies with the requirements of Applicable Law. This procedure sets out:
